Elizabeth and Jack’s Crystal Coast Country Club wedding was effortlessly elegant, full of joy, and personalized in the most thoughtful ways. Their day featured a soft blue and green color palette, a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, and a tented reception under the stars. It felt both timeless and coastal. From emotional moments during the ceremony to dancing all night with the ocean in the background, it was such a fun and beautiful celebration.
Elizabeth and Jack go way back. While they first met in high school, they didn’t start dating until college, during their sophomore year at East Carolina University. Over the next five years, they built a strong relationship. Their best memories are the beach weekends together and time with friends and family.
In July, during a Fourth of July weekend at Jack’s grandparents’ house in Emerald Isle (a place they’ve always considered “their spot”), Jack proposed. The beach has always been a big part of their story, so choosing to get married there felt like the perfect next step.
Before the ceremony, Elizabeth and Jack shared their first look outdoors with the waterfront behind them. The wind did its best to steal the show! Their wedding party portraits were equally windswept and full of laughter. Ultimately, they decided to move the ceremony indoors due to the forecast. However, the weather ended up turning around just in time for the most beautiful golden sunset.
With the weather pushing the ceremony inside, the indoor space at Crystal Coast Country Club was transformed into something truly special. Guests were welcomed by floral-lined aisles in soft shades of blue, white, and green. The large marble fireplace created a stunning backdrop. It was adorned with matching florals that tied everything together. Overall, it was a sweet, sentimental ceremony filled with love, happy tears, and support from their closest people.
After the ceremony and cocktail hour, guests headed outside to a clear-top tent for the first dances. The tent was styled to reflect Elizabeth’s vision of a blue and green coastal celebration. Jerrye Gordon Events brought everything together beautifully. From the cozy lounge furniture to the custom seating chart and floral-patterned linens, no detail went unnoticed. White and green florals hung above the black-and-white dance floor, creating a fresh focal point for the evening.
The indoor ballroom was set for dinner with the same elevated coastal vibe. Every table featured elegant arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, and ranunculus. The soft color palette, textured florals, and warm candlelight made the entire space feel welcoming and refined.
One of the standout details was the four-tier cake from Famous Restaurant & Baking Company. I loved the fondant bow that wrapped gracefully around the layers. It was classic, charming, and almost too pretty to cut.
Elizabeth kicked off the party part of the reception with an outfit change that she debuted under the glowing tent. As the sun set over the water, Emerald Empire Band kept the energy high and the dance floor packed. As the night went on, guests twirled under the stars, laughed in the ZimZoom photo booth, and raised a toast (or two) to the newlyweds.
