If you don’t already know, I absolutely LOVE to travel! I have always had a travel bug, wheather it be just a few hours away to explore a new little town or out of the country to experience new cultures, I do whatever I can to make it happen. So, when a fellow Tarheel asked me to photograph her wedding in her hometown of New Orleans I was thrilled! Natalie and Josh were able to embrace the culture of her hometown as well as incorporate their love for the beautiful Carolina blue! It was so cool to experience the new traditions that most weddings in New Orleans normally have. For example, the cake pull is where the bride’s closest single girl friends pull tabs that are built into the cake and the girls pull out different charms! However, my favorite part (and the tradition that I wish all weddings incorporated) was the second line. As their exit, we danced behind a jazz band down the streets of New Orleans and ended at Pat Obrien’s! It was a blast! I absoltuely loved getting to spend the weekend with Natalie and Josh and not only getting to capture their gorgeous wedding but also explore a new city that means so much to them!
