I first met Chelsea and KJ a few years ago when I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding at Wrightsville Manor! I love becoming friends with my couples and when they choose me to capture other big moments in their lives, I am so honored! So, of course I said “yes” when Chelsea reached out to me about capturing their maternity session.

We decided that Wrightsville beach was the perfect location to photograph this sweet growing family. When we arrived, the beach was beautiful! The water was crystal blue and the breeze chased away that midsummer North Carolina heat. Chelsea was just radiant in her gorgeous ivory lace dress that had a stunning train that was absolutely dreamy! The stage was set to get precious shots of these parents-to-be that will melt your heart. Then, to end the session, Chelsea walked into the water just as a group of seagulls flew right behind her. It was perfect timing and the images are one of a kind!

Since this beautiful session, Airlie Brent was born on June 29th.  Yes! That is Airlie as in Airlie Gardens- How sweet is that?! Especially considering I shot these two at Airlie Gardens for their engagement session. And if you haven’t seen that session, then you have to! You can view it here.
